Strictly Business - the housekeeping edition

This newsletter is as the subject line suggests, just an update on some housekeeping items for the work I do.

Let’s go in alphabetical order.

Freelancing -

One thing I’m planning to do this year is some freelancing, so here’s notice of that. Here’s what I’ve got to offer:

  • Line editing (Any format, fiction or non fiction)

  • Developmental editing (tabletop games)

  • Guest writer (tabletop games, reviews, short articles)

  • Actual play streams and podcasts (player)

  • Social media management (for your podcast, show, or other professional page)

  • Sensitivity reading/consultation (Transgender perspectives, chronic depression, chronic pain)

My rates will be flexible depending on your project, so get in contact if you’re interested!

Social Media -

  • I’m on facebook now! If that’s more your speed than twitter, feel free to give me a follow there.

  • I’m also upping my activity on Instagram and Tiktok. I’ll likely do some cross posting between these, fair warning, but not all of it. On Tiktok specifically I’m planning to do some media reviews.

Streaming -

  • First off, a notice that there’ll be no stream this Tuesday (NZ Time). I’m headed to the city for an optometrist’s appointment, which is a 3hr drive each direction (thanks for driving, mum)

  • If you missed the stream, my full playthrough of Far: Lone Sails is now on Youtube. It’s about four hours long, but if you have wanted to see what that game’s about, it’s absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend at least watching it.

  • Also going on is a playthrough of the Sims 4 game pack Journey to Batuu, a shameless tie in between EA and Disney. I’m a couple of hours in so far, but we’ll be here a while. My followers literally spent their channel points for 15 days to unlock this, so I hope you all enjoy it! Episode 1 is on youtube, and the stream will continue later this week.

Tabletop Games -

  • I’m working on a game for the Anamnesis Jam! It’s called The Hermit/The World and it’s a solo journalling game that invites you to explore both your real life neighbourhood and a fictional one you will invent as you play. More coming soon!

  • I’ve decided I’m going to try and release one game project a month this year. I did this (and a little more) in 2021 and it was a lot of fun, so why not do it again?

  • There have been a couple of updates to the game text of Space Legs, but they are currently only available to playtesters. If you’ve been part of my playtesting thus far, but haven’t checked in for a while, check the master doc ;)

And that’s me for today folks - See you all next week!
